To provide professional health, safety and environmental support to all aspects of the onshore operation and to support the implementation of the Client HSE policies and the company’s fulfilment of its duty of care responsibilities.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
· Implementing the Production Operations HSEQ strategy for onshore operations;
· Promoting a pro-active HSEQ culture;
· Assuring compliance of equipment and systems with official certification/approvals;
· Actively monitoring HSEQ aspects of all processes and documentation;
· Ensuring follow-up to risk management activities ;
· Developing Emergency Response in alignment with the Assets’ Safety Case;
· Reviewing the HSE content of competency profiles of all Asset functions;
· Reporting HSE related activities & maintaining statistics;
· Informing and interpreting legislative and regulatory requirements and best practices;
· Identifying HSE improvements to systems and processes;
· Liaising with external HSE regulatory bodies where required;
· Identifying and supporting HSE competency assurance development;
· Managing the HSE Asset support team;
· Auditing and review of HSEQ systems and processes;
· Ensuring Accident/Incident investigations are adequately conducted;
· Ensuring maintenance of the Material Safety Data Base;
· Promoting and assessing occupational health management;
· Monitoring compliance with the environmental management system;
· Mentor and coach Junior Staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have:
· Degree in Health & Safety/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent;
· Membership of recognized professional HSE institution e.g. MIOSH, ASSE;
· Minimum 15 years in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry, in senior role, to have included:
- experience in SIMOPS activities procedures;
- experience in PTW procedures;
- experience in establishing and implementing accident and incident investigation;
- knowledge and experience in FF equipment and protection equipment;
- knowledge of EER procedures;
- knowledge of high H2S environment working conditions;
- knowledge of risk assessment procedures- HAZOP/HAZID;
- knowledge of HSE Data management;
- knowledge of international and local codes and standards related to HSE;
- experience in preparing reports and using statistical software packages;
· Computer literate;
Fluent written and spoken English.
